About Me: I was born and raised in Colorado, and I have been enchanted by the magic of the piano since childhood. I have a B.A. in music, and I am licensed to teach music K-12 by the state of Colorado. It has been my greatest joy to teach in Colorado and share my love for the piano! Expectations of the Student: It is true that each student has a different learning style, especially in music. I will do my best to adapt lessons to the learning style of the student. I expect each student to do his or her best. I want my students to have fun as they learn to love the piano! Practice is a necessity; I will give clear expectations for each individual student. Parent Participation: I believe that parent participation is a huge asset to a child's learning and development in music. I encourage parents of new beginners to sit in on their child's lessons. Even if parents are not musically gifted, just their encouragement and supervision of daily practice time is very beneficial.
